Puerto Maldonado
BIG TREE
RARE GIANT RIVER OTTER (almost extinct, can get up to 10 feet long) ferociously barking to protect his territory.
Family of otters
Micah was the only swimmer this day in Lago Sandoval which is home to alligators, piranhas, giant river otters, snakes, huge catfish (rumor has it they weigh up to 300 pounds!) and stingrays. With all these dangers I'm sure he was the only swimmer this month, maybe this year!
These hanging flowers are plentiful on the trail to Lago Sandoval.
Walking from the river it's an hour walk to get to Lago Sandoval. Here's Godo walking.
