Subject: Happy New Year 2007Dear Family and Friends, Family Things are going very well here in Dubuque, Iowa for the Tuttle family. Thank you for all your prayers. Amy continues to excel at every thing she does, a few of which include: following hard after God, being an excellent wife, mom, homemaker, and home-educator. Javen (8), Cullen (7) are learning more and more in the areas of reading, writing, math, history, science and evangelism. Bria (who turns 4 next week) is anxious to do everything that her big brothers do and Josiah (2) has officially transitioned from baby stage to kid stage. I, Micah am enjoying being a husband, father, preacher and student. Bible School Last semester I thoroughly enjoyed my studies. I took Old Testament survey, Church Planting, Personal Evangelism, Minor Prophets, Acts/Paul, Christian Life & Bible Study, and Proverbs. I am amazed at how when you love what you’re studying, school becomes exciting and rather easy! This spring semester I am currently taking New Testament survey, Applied Theology, Ecclesiology, Intro to Philosophy, Dispensationalism and Romans. It doesn’t get much better than that! After I finish with this semester, I will be about seven classes short of a bachelor’s degree in Bible – Theology & Exposition with a minor in Intercultural Studies. I should be able to take the seven classes that remain online from Peru and thus finish little by little. Peru We plan to return to Peru this summer. Classes finish up at Emmaus in mid-May at which point we plan to visit friends and family and churches in the Portland/Seattle area. After visiting the NW our plan is to fly back to Peru (end of June) and set up camp in the coastal town of Trujillo. Trujillo is where our Bible school has been established and that is where we hope to be effective in training Peruvians to be evangelists, teachers and church planters. Current Ministry Amy is involved in four ministries. These ministries are of utmost importance to us and their names are Javen, Cullen, Bria and Josiah. We in no way want to sacrifice these ministries in the place of "Christian ministries." God first, marriage second, kids third, "Christian ministries" fourth - within that order of priorities. Of the latter I have been very much involved with evangelism, discipleship, Spanish Bible study, and preaching in different churches. Thank You - We want to thank all of you who pray for us and financially support us. You are a tremendous encouragement to us and we thank God for you. Many of you sent us cards and letters and the kids Christmas presents, which made our holiday season very memorable. Thank you! Thank you! Sincerely, Micah Tuttle | |
